Tony Gentile started Family Trash in 2023, after years running tow trucks and limos around Charleston. He still answers his own phone, and most days he's the one who drops your dumpster off and comes back for it.
"Around here, how you treat people matters. That's how we run our business."
Four decades in town means he usually knows your block before you finish the address. Call the number and you get Tony, his wife Toni, or her sister Tracy. No phone tree, nobody on hold.
More about Family TrashWe make ordering a roll-off about as easy as it gets. One call and we'll walk you through sizes, what fits, and what your project needs, residential or commercial. Or pick a size and order online in a couple of minutes.
Quick on the drop-off and the pickup, usually within a day.
A generous weight allowance, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Clean, well-kept cans and a rental that stays simple start to finish.
Charleston and 16 nearby towns, roughly a 40-mile reach from James Island.
The stuff people ask most before they book.
Four roll-off sizes: 7, 13, 17, and 22 yards. The 7-yard is built for heavy concrete and dirt, the 13 is the everyday homeowner size, and the 17 and 22 are for bigger projects and contractors. We also run a flatbed for moving equipment or materials.
You get a real number before you book, and it already includes delivery, pickup, and the tonnage for that size. Go through the online booking to see it, or call and we'll give you the number. We're fair, not the cheapest and not the most expensive.
A driveway is the easiest spot, and you don't need a permit for that. For a dumpster on a public street the city sometimes wants one, especially downtown. Tell us where it needs to go and we'll let you know.
Most household and construction debris is fine. A few things like certain liquids and oils have rules, and those are in the terms. When you book we ask what kind of project it is, so just tell us what you've got.
We rent the dumpster and you load it. If you've got a garage or a cleanout you want gone, the move is to rent the right size, fill it, and we haul the can away.
